    Games of the Year (06/29/15)

By John Ewing Director of Research and Analytics @johnewing
2015 College Football Game of the Year Lines.

The Golden Nugget has released its 2015 College Football Games of Year.

The Las Vegas sportsbook will take $1,000 limit bets on the games.

What can these early lines tell us about the upcoming season?

Ohio State, the defending National Champions and 13/4 favorites to repeat, is favored by more than 16 points in their four lined games.

Oregon, the national runner-up, is favored in five of seven games. The oddsmakers expect a close game (pick'em) when the Ducks travel to face Stanford on November 14th. Oregon is also a one-point dog early in the season against Michigan State in East Lansing.

The reigning SEC Champions are favored in eight of nine games. Alabama's game at Georgia in October is currently listed as a pick'em.

The largest spread is Michigan -33 at home against UNLV. Expectations are high for the Wolverines after hiring Jim Harbaugh, but the new coach's first season could be erratic. Michigan is an underdog in four of seven listed games, including being a 16-point home dog to rival Ohio State.

The Runnin' Rebels are also the biggest home underdogs. UNLV is a 32 point dog against UCLA. It is likely to be a long season for the Rebels, their season over/under win total is listed at 2.5 games.
