With the second half of the MLB season set to start, which teams will make the playoffs? Bovada.lv has posted odds for twelve teams to reach the postseason.

    Which teams have value?

Two of the strongest plays are on the Toronto Blue Jays and St. Louis Cardinals.

Toronto is four games behind Baltimore in the AL East. The Blue Jays have not made the playoffs in 21 years and their season could be considered a success after leading the division for 51 days after finishing last in 2013. However, we believe the Jays overcome injuries to Edwin Encarnacion and Adam Lind to end Toronto's playoff drought.

St. Louis plays in one of the most difficult divisions in baseball. The NL Central is the only division to have four teams with .500 or better records. The Cardinals, Brewers, Reds and Pirates are all within in 3.5 games of first. Despite a tough division and a demanding schedule, the Redbirds are a team we have believed in all season. The best fans in baseball also have the best team in the NL Central.

Note: Teams that have lower than 10/1 odds to win the World Series are assumed to make the playoffs and therefore do not have odds listed below. These teams include: Oakland, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Angels, Detroit and Washington.

05/10/2017 Highlight: With baseball season now into its second month, we can leverage our ResultsFinder tool to profile our season-to-date numbers. MLB sides and totals continue to remain extremely profitable despite a recent run of bad variance to start May. The Predictalator's record of 272-250 on sides and totals this season doesn't look all that impressive, but that's because the simulations have sided with underdogs more often than favorites. Through May 9, the Predictalator has generated $547 for an average $50 bettor. "Normal" or better sides, totals, and run lines (our strongest edges) are 14-10 (+$118) season-to-date.
