    NFL Team Rankings (11/20)

Last Updated: 8/19/2014 10:03 PM ET

Not only does the Predictalator run every upcoming game 50,000 times, it plays every team against every other team to come up with the ultimate Power Rankings. The Predictalator is successful because it best accounts for actual matchups and team's abilities to exploit opponent's weaknesses using strength-of-schedule-adjusted statistics, so the Power Rankings are not necessarily the best way to know who would win between two teams. They are, however, the best possible way to measure which teams have put together the most impressive seasons. The best team may not be favored against the second-best team, but it would be favored more significantly against the rest of the teams in the sport.

To build the NFL Power Rankings below, we "played" every team against every other team 50,000 times each and ranked by overall winning percentage of those games. These Power Rankings are as of (11/20/2012) rosters and projected depth charts.

In addition to the NFL Power Rankings, we have also included each team’s overall Offensive and Defensive rankings as well as Pass and Rush efficiency rankings relative to the league based on our strength-of-schedule-adjusted statistics and current rosters.

11/28/2016 Highlight: Using our ResultsFinder tool, Week 13 of college football was one of our best weeks of all-time. CFB Week 13 featured an incredible 34-9 (79.1%) ATS record on all playable sides, including an 8-1 (88.9%) ATS record on "normal" or better sides. Our "Lock of the Week" featured Vanderbilt winning outright as a 7.5-point underdog over Tennessee, while our Free Play of the Week cashed with Michigan +6.5 at Ohio State.

NFL Week 12 featured a PERFECT 4-0-1 record on all playable Thanksgiving Day games, and a 3-2-1 (58.3%) record on "normal" or better plays on Sunday. Totals continue to produce at an outstanding clip this season with all playable totals now up to 72-50 (59.0%) on the season. Our "Lock of the Week" came through in a back-and-forth affair as Carolina covered the number at Oakland, while our top total, the over in that very same matchup, covered with ease.

Totals are consistently producing across all sports at the moment. NBA playable totals are 97-80 (54.8%) on the season, while "normal" or better totals are a solid 26-17 (60.5%). The same can be said for college hoops where "normal" or better totals are 103-88 (53.9%) to begin the season.

The NHL season rolls right along with the Predictalator posting a 147-113 (56.5%) record on all playable money-lines and totals, despite picking more underdogs than favorites to date. "Normal" or better plays (ML, PL, and O/U) are a whopping 24-11 (68.6%) on the season thus far.
