    Bessire: RB Ranks and Projections

    by Paul Bessire, PredictionMachine.com
Last Updated: 2/25/2016 7:35 PM ET
Projections for every ranked running back are below. Players are ranked based on PredictionMachine.com's 2015 projected statistics for what each player would be expected to do as a 16 game starter on a totally average NFL team against a completely average NFL schedule. Read more about how rankings and projections are done (also includes 2012 rankings and projections).

Below, we include an impact score (0 - 10 scale) for each player. This score is a relative value based on the projections that can put players in context across positions and draft classes. A score of seven or above can generally outperform a replacement player in the NFL at his position as a rookie; an eight or above can be expected to start adequately and a player with a rating over nine is a unique, standout player who could star.

As a matter of context, at this time last year, using the same process, the top five running backs had scores of: Carlos Hyde (8.0), Jeremy Hill (8.0), James White (7.9), Lache Seastrunk (7.5) and Ka'Deem Carey (7.3). In other words, there are five running backs in this year's class better than anyone last season. Only one RB from the last two years, Gio Bernard, would even rank in the top five in this year's class and he would still rank fourth at the position.

    The Predictalator

05/10/2017 Highlight: The NHL Playoffs have featured some very tight lines posted by oddsmakers, which has led to lower volume for the Predictalator. That hasn't let to less profits though. The Predictalator has posted 10 NHL positions (ML, O/U, or PL) in May, going 8-2 (80%) on those positions for a profit of $87. It is rare to find a big edge in the NHL this late in the year, but the Predictalator continues to chip away on small edges to provide solid returns.
