With eight weeks left to decide who is crowned the Prediction Machine Pick ‘Em Contest champion, things are heating up atop the overall standings.
Week 10 saw two contestants – PM subscriber “BULLDOGGERS85” and PM Betting Analyst Tony Farmer – go 5-0 vs. the spread and creep their way into the top 10 of the overall standings.
Farmer and “BULLDOGGERS85” both took the 49ers, Cowboys, and Lions to cover for three of their five wins. Farmer selected Carolina and Denver with his remaining two entries, while “BULLDOGGERS85” got wins from Indianapolis and Tampa Bay.
Farmer now sits in a 5-way tie for fifth place overall (30-20) with Bears content creator DEEKSVIEW, Oddsshark.com’s Mitch Bannon, NICKRICHIE24, and JET$$$$$$$.
PM subscriber “PENETRATORS” is in first place at 34-16 and “SHIEKHERS” is in second place two games back. Third place is shared by eatdrinkandsleepfootball.com’s Kevin Hanson and Kansas City Chiefs beat writer Darren Smith (31-19).
“I think the cream is rising to the top,” Farmer said. “But I wish I knew who was operating as ‘PENETRATORS’ because they’re having a hell of a season and I’ll have my work cut out for me to catch up.”
“PENETRATORS” hasn’t had a losing week since his 2-3 effort in Week 3.
Several other participants put together an impressive 4-1 mark in Week 10 including former NFL linebacker Keith Mitchell, former NFL WR Ryan Hoag, and former MLB pitcher Andrew Carignan.
The Week 11 slate features four home favorites of -9.5 or more and only three home underdogs.
