Prediction Machine subscriber “RMENDIVIL” (@SportPsyDoc on X) outlasted a star-studded field to win our NFL Pick ‘Em Contest. “RMENDIVIL” went 3-2 in Week 18 to preserve his championship and finish 55-35 vs. the spread. He’ll be the proud owner of a plaque commemorating his impressive accomplishment.
The field consisted of 53 contestants including two former NFL players (Ryan Hoag and Keith Mitchell), two former MLB players (Andrew Carignan and Eric Campbell), sports betting industry experts (Tony Farmer, Iain MacMillan, Kris Abbott, Danny Burke), and several NFL reporters/media personalities (Grant Cohn, Jeff Nowak, Darren Smith, Samantha Bunten, Kevin Hanson, and Kyle Odegard).
“RMENDIVIL” notched three wins from the Titans, Texans and Giants. The Giants game was essentially over by halftime, and the drama came down to Farmer (OddsShark.com) needing the Bears and 49ers to cover for the win. San Francisco allowed the Rams to come back from 20-7, and the Bears couldn’t put together a touchdown drive in the 4th quarter.
Farmer finished 2nd (54-36), while Burke (Burkesbeat.com) finished 4th (53-37), Hanson finished 6th (52-38), and MacMillan and Abbott tied for 10th place. Carignan, a former relief pitcher for the Oakland Athletics, finished 48-42 and tied for 14th place.
Jason Pruett (DRAFTPLEX) was the only contestant to go 5-0 in the season’s final week. Jason selected the Texans, Lions, Giants, Raiders and Cowboys for the perfect week.
Burke finished the season with nine consecutive winning weeks and on a 32-13 ATS run.
