OddsShark.com contributor Mitch Bannon was the only contestant to go undefeated (5-0) vs. the point spread in Week 3 and that earned him a spot atop the leaderboard at 12-3.
“Got a few close covers to go 5-0, but I know I’m peaking too early,” Bannon said. “The luck’s all going to come crashing down soon, I’m sure.”
Bannon backed four favorites (Kansas City, Miami, Philadelphia, Cincinnati) and an underdog (Arizona) to notch the five wins. Bannon is 12-3 overall and sharing the top spot with Kansas City Chiefs reporter Darren Smith. Smith went 4-1 with his only loss coming on Jacksonville. The Chiefs, Chargers, 49ers and Dolphins were all winners for Smith.
Neither Bannon or Smith picked the Thursday Night Football game last night and PM Subscriber “Bulldoggers85” successfully picked Detroit so he also has 12 wins, but he’s one back in the loss column.
There’s a gaggle of participants at four losses just below Smith and Bannon including special guests Kris Abbott and DeeksView.
At 5 losses, special guests George Carmi, Iain MacMillan, and Robby Esch are tied with two PM subscribers. Macmillan was one of 13 contestants to get a head start on the week with a Detroit win.
PredictionMachine.com’s Tony Farmer is 9-6 along with special guests Jess Root, Samantha Bunten, former pro bowl linebacker Keith Mitchell and Jason Pruett.
Another former NFL player joined the fray as Ryan Hoag (Washington, Raiders, Jaguars, Giants, Vikings) entered the contest after Week 2 and he is 4-2 so far vs. the spread.
